Johnson County has had a ‘Drug Court’ program for over 20 years and has received increased funding this year.   Is this approach that tries to tackle the underlying issues beneath addiction a reasonable alternative to incarceration?  

Johnson County has its share of drug-related crime from methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, and alcohol addiction.  As law enforcement agencies work to combat drug-related crimes, including drug trafficking, distribution, and possession, what role does the drug court have to play in solving the problem?
