HPV. Do you need protection?
Nov 2023

JC Public Health wants to draw your attention to a sneaky virus called HPV (Human Papillomavirus). It’s so common that nearly all sexually active people get it at some point in their lives. It often crashes the party with no symptoms, so you might not even know you’re hosting this unwelcome visitor.

While HPV is often harmless and goes away on its own, it can sometimes decide to overstay its welcome and cause some serious health problems, like warts or even certain cancers.

Public Health now has a significantly discounted HPV vaccine available for adults.  Find out more about the virus and how to protect yourself.
