Challenges for JCSD#1
Supt Auzqui
Jan 10, 2025

Barely at the end of the first week of the new semester, JCSD#1 is already meeting significant challenges.  A massive hacking incident involving Powerschool requires an immediate and significant response, and the upcoming 68th Session of the Wyoming Legislature could well result in impactful changes that will need to be implemented by school districts.

Supt. Auzqui outlines the potential impact of the PowerSchool data breach and how it could affect parents and students.

The 67th session of the Wyoming Legislature opens on Tuesday, Jan 14th, and is expected to be a very full session for legislators, including many bills that could have far-reaching impacts on education in the state.  Supt, Auzqui explains more about the bills he will be watching closely and why, and the role of JCSD#1 Trustees in the process.
