While students and staff wrap up the school year ready to enjoy a long summer break, that’s not the case at the JCSD#1 Administrative Office. Summer is the busiest period for district administration with a desk load of regular requirements including state reporting, grant writing, leadership intiatives, and, this year, the recalibration process.
So what exactly is on the plate of JCSD#1 Administration? And what will it mean for the future of students and staff?
Superintendent Auzqui outlines multiple challenges arising from falling enrollment, leaner budgets, the high-profile resignations of Buffalo High School Principal and Athletic Director, a variety of stakeholder expectations, as well many new external pressures.
