WYDOT Public Meeting
Buffalo Downtown Main St Project
Feb 27, 2025
The Buffalo Main Street project is entering its second year, with construction resuming on Monday 3rd March. At this Public Meeting held 27th February, WYDOT representatives outlined the scope of this season’s work and answered a variety of questions from business owners and members of the community,
The project aims to complete downtown work by Memorial Day weekend to minimize impact on tourist season. The scope includes utility work, sidewalk repairs, and ADA compliance updates.
The project also includes significant utility work by City of Buffalo, particularly water line replacement in Phase 5. The timeline extends through October 2025.
From Mon 3rd March, traffic control will be setup from Crazy Woman Square to Main Street Diner. East side of Main Street will be closed with traffic shifted to west side. Sidewalk access will be maintained except during specific repair work, and no parking will be allowed in active work zones.
